This week we feature a special mix by the newest member of Soul Work - Amanda Marks aka "Violin Girl." For this set she teams up with her musical counterpart - Michael Scalar to present the group MSVG and their Burning Man inspired mix. The inspiration behind the mix derives from picturing themselves back at Burning Man and biking to MikiMau while soaking up the vibes of a sunset party overlooking a stunning landscape shrouded in dust. This mix is deep, sexy and enchanting with world music influences and a touch of the spiritual that you can only find out in the desert. This series of the Soul Work podcast will feature sets from our last event to round out 2017 - Winter Sun. Our first set came from Soul Work founder - Bass Exotic. This episode of the Soul Work takeover is curated by both a MikiMau and Soul Work resident - KENNOS. “By way of” is only fitting in describing KENNOS as his dwelling in various cities has shaped his colorful style of sound when it comes to house music. He currently calls San Diego home, but has previously resided in Brooklyn, San Francisco, Dallas and his birthplace of Benin City, Nigeria. His style encompasses drum-heavy tribal African beats, dancey soulful deep house sounds and a rhythmic expression of techno.
